CIRCUITS. SERIES AND PARALLEL CONNECTION

Here we have a video about the series and parallel connection in circuits. Watch it and answer these questions in your notebook. Remember that you should write down the headings.

  • What is the tension that is applied to the circuit?
  • Regarding the circuit in series connection, what voltage will each electric bulb receive?
  • What happens if an electric bulb which is connected in series to other electric bulbs breaks down?
  • Regarding the circuit in parallel connection, what voltage will each electric bulb receive ?
  • What happens if an electric bulb which is connected in parallel to other electric bulbs breaks down?

Eventually, go to comments and leave your opinion about the advantages and disavantages of series and parallel connection. Don´t forget to write down your name!

The advantages if we have a circuit with some objets in series connetion, is the voltage, is adding, and we have more energy, and the resistance will share the voltage that is produced by the generators. And the disadvantages if we have a circuit with some objets in series connection, is, if a reciver or a generator (if there are two) is broken, anything is working on the circuit.
And the advantages if we have a circuit with some objets cnnected in parallel, is, if one of each reciver or generators(if there are two)is broken, the circuit is also continues workig. And disadvantages are, the recivers consume the same enrgy but with less time working, and the generators don't share its voltage, they during more time working if we have only one battery.

The video shows us how the circuits connected in series work if all the bulbs are connected.
And the circuits connected in parallel work even if a bulb is not connected.

When you connection in series, the intensity is less but the time is more and when you connection in parallel, the intensity is more but the time is less.

  8. The disadvantages are if we have a circuit connected in series the receivers share the voltage and if a receiver breaks down all the circuit doesn't work.the advanges is that the circuit work more time.
In a parallel connection circuit the advantages are that the voltage is the same for each receiver but the disadvantage is that the circuit work less time.

  10. Series connection: disadventages: If one bulb burns out the others don't work, they share the voltage so the intensity is less.
Series connection: adventages: The circuit works for longer.

Parallel connection disadventages: The circuit doesn't work for a very long time.
Parallel connection advetages: If one bulb burns out the others continue working, the intensity is great so the light more brightly.

Adventages:When break down an electric bulb, we doesn´t work, less intensity.
Parallels connection.Advantages:It have more intensty so more brightly and, when one electric bulb break down, the circuit continues working.
Disadventages:´We heve less time for work

  12. Series connection:
Advantages: In series connection receivers share the generators voltage and it lasts more.
Disadvantages: When one light bulb breaks oll the others light stop working.

    Parallel connection:
Advantages: When one light bulb breaks oll the others light keep working for example: All home electrical appliances are conected in paralllel to a power system.
Disadvantages: The more receivers in parrallel are connected to a generator the more electric current they will suply In the case of batteries, the more receivers there are the sooner the batteries will drain.

    Is better a parallel circuit.
The advantage is that when some element of the circuit breaks the others they continue working and in the circuit in series if some element breaks the circuit for point.
The disadvantage in the parallel circuit is that the energy lasts less than in the circuit in series.

  14. The time of a parallel connection is less than the time of a connection in serie and it one bulb breaks down the others don´t tuns off.

I think the advantage of the series circuit is brighter than the parallel circuit, just as though it does not shine, their advantage is that it lasts longer shining the series circuit.

The disadvantages of doing so in series is that if a bulb disconnected, the other not funcionan.las advantages are that the voltage is divided for each of the lamps while the current in all bulbs are the same, so in this circuit the bulbs will always contuniacion another.
The total charge is equal to the sum of their loads.
advantages of doing so in parallel is that if a disconnect bombillaslas still function, unlike in series.
the disadvantages are consuming the same but there is less time working and do not share their voltage generators

I'm goint to do other comment, because the other, you know.
    SERIES:
Advantage: If you connect two or more generators the voltage will be bigger.
Disavantage: If you connect two or more receivers the volt that each one recieve are going to be the division of the voltage that the generators provides by the number of receivers.

    PARALLEL:
Advantage: If you connect two or more generators in parallel connection, they work more time. And the receivers bright the total voltage of the generator.
Disavantage: If you connect two or more receivers in parallel conection they work less time
